Validate Data Input PA30 PA40

How to validate data in PA30 / PA40 Maintain HR Master Data?

---

Gender Validation

Go to IMG -> Time management -> Absence -> Special Absence Data -> Materinaty Protection -> Define Materinaty protection period.  You will find table V_T554M, Select your absence type and get "Detail" view.  Here you will find technical setting for Gender.

Possible entries are:

1             : Permitted for males only

2             : Permitted for females only

No entry      : Permitted for males and females

Select appropriate option as per requirement.

Maternity Leave Validation

Maternity Leave comes under the setting Special Absence Data.

SPRO -> IMG -> Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Absences -> Special Absence Data -> Maternity Protection

This section allows you to define special processing types to calculate absences absences for maternity protection and parental leave.

Here we can use the feature MASEX (Determine infotype admissibility for employees) for determining admissability for the 'Create Maternity Protection' Infotype (0080).

The return value for this feature can be one of the following:

0 - allowed for female and male employees

1 - allowed for female employees only

2 - allowed for male employees only

Validate Creation of infotype depending on Employee Subgroup

Have a requirement as follows:

- User accesses PA30 transaction.

- User inputs valid employee number PERNR, displaying main info.

- User tries to create infotype 0713 to this employee.

- If employee has subgroup A or B, then an error message should be sent informing that employees with such subgroups cannot have infotype 0713 created.

Ans:

You can write logic to display error message user exit ZXPADU01, but it will show error message as a pop screen and it will exit from the PA30 screen once you enter.
