Why use Plant Maintenance?

Plant Maintenance

Comprises ‘all measure for maintaining and restoring the target condition as well as determining and assessing the actual condition of the technical equipment in a system’.

  • Preventive Maintenance (maintaining the target condition)
  • Inspection (assessing the actual condition)
  • Repairs (restoring the target condition)
  • Improvement
It consists of three main business processes:
  • Breakdown maintenance (repair)
    • PM11 Breakdown
  • Corrective maintenance (planning and control of maintenance task)

  • Planned Maintenance (maintenance planning)

    • PM14 Time-based
    • PM15 Usage-based
