Answers:

  1) 1099 / 7 = 157 boxes of chocolates
      1166 / 9 = 129 boxes of chocolates sold
      157 - 129 = 28 kept for her family

      She kept 28 boxes of chocolate for her family.

  2) 124 + 95 = 219 (blue beads)
      124 + 219 = 343 (red + blue)
      687 - 343 = 344
      There were 344 green beads.

  3) Chinese fiction         1/2 x 24 = 12
      Chinese non-fiction    24 - 12 = 12
                                         96 - 24 = 72 (Balance English books)

       English fiction                   3/4 x 72 = 54
       Chinese & English fiction    54 + 12 = 66
                                                 96 - 66  = 30 non-fiction

      There are 30 non-fiction books.

  4) (a)  Breadth of rectangle both side is 6 cm
            Length = 9 + 6 + 4 = 19 cm
            19 x 6 = 114 cm²
            The area before it was folded was 114 cm²

      (b) 19 / 2 = 9 remainder 1 (Length / 2)
              6 / 2 = 3                    (Breadth / 2)
             9 x 3 = 27 squares

  5)  69 + 57 = 126 kg (Sum up both total mass)
       Ming Zhuan     1     1
       Fahir                1
       Total = 3 units

       126 / 3 = 42 kg
       42 x 2 = 84 kg
       Ming Zhuan was 84 kg ten years later.
