Is there a way to auto update the Rem shelf life in the PIR, I mean when I have change the shelf life in Material Master it will pick up the data in it, or should it be updated separately. Also if I update the PIR will it have an effect on the previous P.O. involving the materials I have change particularly its shelf life or the next P.O only.

Answer:

Here is what happens:

1. If SLED is activated for the material when existing PO’s are already there, the system will ask for the Remaining Shelf life data while doing GR for existing PO’s as well.

2. But if the same is maintained in the PIR and not in the MMR, then the system will not ask for the same data while doing GR for existing PO’s. It will only ask for the PO’s which are created after the details are set in the PIR.

Regarding the impact on previous PO, no, you will have to update PIR separately and if you update PIR, for previous PO, there will be no Impact as IN PO SLED data is already there.
