After visiting a few of them, you would probably have an ideas what these job sites offer.  Although the work at home jobs opportunities are different their method are the same.  These sites always claim that you can make a significant monthly income and they have a wide list of companies looking for people in areas such as data entry, mystery shopper or filling up online paid surveys. The only catch is that you got to pay an access fees ranging from 20 to 50 dollars in order to access their home jobs database.  In short, you are being asked to pay first in order to work.

Why You Need to Pay to Access the Database?

Creating a home job database involved time and effort and the web owners of these database are not going to let you access for free.  It is reasonable for them to asked for payment but as a work at home job seeker, you have to determined for yourself whether is it worth paying for work.

Actually, if you have the time, the same companies can be found for free from the search engines.

Are These Legitimate Work At Home Jobs?

First, you need to know that all these companies in the home jobs database are are legitimate companies looking for people to work for them.  However, they DID NOT asked for payments from you in order to work.  The word "WORK" itself already tell you that you are exchanging your labour hours to get a pay.  So, the companies employing you should be paying you.

What to Look Out for if you intend to Pay?

First, ensure that they do not hide their contact details such as address, telephone number and email address on their website.  Make an effort to read their terms and condition.  Are there any refund policy in case you doesn't earn enough to cover the access cost. 

For certain PC home jobs like filling up online survey, many people are not aware that not all the companies pays cash after you filled up their survey.  There are some that gave you free products, gift certificates, a chance to participate in a sweepstakes or points that you can redeem later for cash or products.

Also for jobs like mystery shopper, most of the jobs opportunities are in US and Canada.  Those living outside both countries should first check the website for more specific details regarding the list of companies that are hiring mystery shoppers.

There are no right or wrong answers whether you should pay or not to pay to access the home jobs database.  Both parties have their own arguments that they are right.  As a PC work at home job seekers, you must be aware that you MAY NOT be able to recover your cost as the availability of home jobs really depends on the home jobs market and whether the jobs listing have been heavily over-sold.
