Our users have wrongly created Personnel Area/Sub
area with number format. How to delete and remove PA/PSA entries stored
in all tables. Have checked tables T500P & T001P where the delete option
is grayed out.
Steps to: Deleting Personnel Area Go to SPRO - Enterprise Structure - Definition - Human Resource Management - Personnel Areas. Click on Personnel Areas option.
The list of personnel areas created will appear. Select the personnel areas which you want to delete & click on delete icon.
Deleting Personnel Subarea: Go to SPRO - Enterprise Structure - Definition - Human Resource Management - Personnel Subareas. Click on create personnel subareas option, select the personnel area. The list of personnel subareas created for the selected personnel area will appear. Select the personnel subareas which you want to
delete & click on delete icon.
Notes: What's are the impact to delete any PA/PSA? If you don't use it anymore, impact
will be on historical data. You
can delete it in T501/T503 that won't have impact on historical P0001 records.
What's the impact if I don't have any active employees assigned to this PA/PSA, and only 1 inactive employee tagged to it 2 years back? If you are still doing payroll for this employee (although inactive) you might get an error message there. If I was to do it, I would not delete the entry. Rather add logic to perform checking so the users don't assign any new employee to this particular PERSG/PERSK. |
