When you are at a low personal
energy and getting things done seems like a heavy burden you have to wear
climbing a steep cliff, you are getting a loud and clear signal from your
mind and body: you need to change something in your life. Explaining why
you feel this way by focusing on something outside of you will never be
a good explanation as your life always is a mirror of something you do
inside your mind.
We all will experience those days when there aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything. You are trying to cram everything into the day and lose the motivation before the end of the day. Ultimately, this is the time when you really need a good energy boost. But there are natural energy boosters available for your energy needs. Continuous fatigue can have a detrimental effect on your long-term health as well as causing weight gain and loss of memory. Clear, clean, fresh air is important for energy and you should try to ensure you get your fill. Getting yourself country air is the best as is a walk in the park, if you are in a town or city. By doing this you will rejuvenate your energy supply, which will consequently make it easier to focus and concentrate. These are just fine short term fix but if you really feel the need you should try to take a longer break such as taking a vacation. Unfortunately, it is very often difficult to schedule a vacation so try organising a get-together with like-minded friends. There's no better stress-buster than having a good laugh and knowing you are not alone in the world. It's important to give your mind a chance to rest and recover. If you don't allow your mind to rest your nerves will suffer and over a period of time you will get into a rut, from which it is difficult to escape. In order to maintain your work life balance you should find a hobby to fill some of your leisure time. Doing something you've had a lifelong passion for will give you the enthusiasm to cope with the more stressful stuff you have to deal with. Many people have done this in their spare time and built it into their main job. Enthusiasm is infectious and once rekindled you will find a new approach to everything you have to cope with. Keep in mind that there's no better energy booster than laughter. Scientific tests have shown that laughter produces the generation of important hormones which positively affects both our mental and physical well being. By reducing cortisol levels, your immune system is strengthened and an increase of endorphins makes you feel happier and maintains a cheerful attitude towards life. There is also a release of enzymes which can protect your stomach from ulcers. You will find a spontaneous smile or comic gesture can break the tension of any stressful situation and by acquiring a light-hearted attitude you will lift not only your own spirit, but also those around you. So don't take yourself too seriously, and take enjoyment from what you do. Don't beat yourself up about your workload, realize you are not alone and appreciate yourself enough to take care of your needs and wants.
