Re-calibrating your phone batteries.
When I started my investigation into the calibration issue, I had a maximum of 1 1/2 days of standby -- turned-off, not in screen-sleep-mode!!! Seriously. Now, after having been turned off and sitting for 2 days, the battery is down by just 2%. Surfing for 2 hours is a mere 5%. And I've waited writing this answer until I've had a few discharges and recharges. Nothing has changed, it's just brilliant, and I'm ecstatic!! :-) The instructions is here: (No Root required for your Android phone) Physical Battery Calibration This option is also very simple, but at the same time, a little more time consuming. 1. Turn your phone on and charge it for 8 hours or more.
Re-Cap Well folks, that's it and that's all! After completing the above solutions, you should be seeing a substantial battery life increase. Also, I tried something that seems strange, for which I have no explanation, but which had done wonders for my iTouch: I turned on "Airplane mode" as the default mode of operation. Both, with my iTouch and also now my Thrive, it seems that MORE or other things are turned off that way than simply turning each and every one off separately. I had already turned off GPS, Bluetooth and all the other things that are supposed to be turned off by enabling "Airplane mode." However, after I set it as the default status I noticed a remarkable increase in battery time. I don't mind the little plane in the corner and just turn on manually whatever I need, never disabling "Airplane mode." I hope somebody else will find these tips helpful. I've noticed that quite a few people have trouble with their batteries.
