One-Time Customer Creation in SAP

Introduction

A one-time customer is a temporary business partner used for transactions where customer details are not stored permanently. In SAP ECC and S/4HANA, setting up a one-time customer requires proper account group and BP (Business Partner) grouping configurations.

Creating a One-Time Customer in SAP ECC

Step 1: Use Account Group CPDA (One-Time Customer)

  • In SAP ECC, the Account Group for one-time customers is CPDA.
  • This account group ensures that customer data is stored temporarily and does not require a permanent master record.

Step 2: Configure Partner Determination in VOPA

To ensure seamless transactions, you need to maintain the partner determination settings for the one-time customer.
1. Go to VOPA (Partner Determination).
2. Click on Partner Functions.
3. Click Environment → Account Group Assignment.
4. To create a new entry:
  • Scroll down to the last line using Page Down.
  • Enter the required details and save the configuration.
  • Creating a One-Time Customer in SAP S/4HANA

Step 1: Use BP Grouping for One-Time Customer

In SAP S/4HANA, the Business Partner (BP) Grouping should be linked to the Customer/Supplier Account Group to properly define one-time customer or supplier settings.

Ensure that the BP Grouping is assigned in the following tables:

    • TBD001
    • TBC001 (Assignment of Account Group BP Grouping)

Step 2: Maintain Account Group for Sold-to Party (SP)

For sales order processing, you must maintain the Account Group for the Sold-to Party (SP). This allows the user to create and process sales orders using the one-time customer.
