Route Determination in Delivery

A route can be determined for every order item. Determining the route in the sales order depends on the following factors.

A) Country and departure zone of the shipping point.
B) Shipping condition from the sales order.
C) Transportation group from the material master record (Sales/Plant Data screen).
D) Country and transportation zone of the ship-to party (Control screen in the customer master record).

Routes are automatically determined in SAP as below mentioned way, they are as follows:

1. Departure Zone on in Shipping point.

2. Tranportaiotn zone in Cust.master (GEN dat Tab).

3. Tranportation Grp in Material Master (Sales view gen/plant tab).

4. Last not least Shipping condition in Cust master or Your sales document type.

Based on this criteria route will be determined automatically, while you have been creating Cust.Mast , Material Mast & Sales Document Type you need to enter as much as of info. in all above said master data.

Above said points are basic in terms of determining Route determination.
