My Dyson V10 Fluffy failed to work after 3 years of daily usage.  Fortunately, I still have 9 months of extended warranty left.

Extended Warranty

For such expensive equipment that you use daily, it best you buy the extended warranty as there is a high chance that the vacuum will failed.  However, it does not cover battery which is considered a wear and tear item.

Problem

When I press the start button, it auto stop after less than 5 seconds.

Trouble Shooting

Hold the start button for 10 seconds and there were 3 solid Blue lights.  According to Dyson Customer Service, it indicated that the motor is having some issues.

Diagnostics

According to the Dyson Customer Service, they offer customers free diagnostics services and will call you for any parts replacement if your warranty is over.  You can then decide whether is it worth paying for the parts replacement which had a warranty of 1 year, provided if you kept the receipt.

Solution

As it is the motor issue, there is nothing much I can do except to bring in down to the Dyson Service Center located at Capitol Singapore shopping mall for a replacement.

Service Center

Take the MRT and alight at City Hall, walk towards Exit B.  Once you are at the top of Exit B, cross over to the opposite road to Capitol Singapore where there is a side entrance.  Once enter, you can see Dyson products and the Service Center is located inside it.
