How to Change the Date Format in SAP
to Day Format
Learn how to change the SAP date format from month format
to day format using user profile settings. If you're working on a Rebate
Agreement in SAP and notice that the date format displays in
the month format (MM.YYYY) instead of the desired day format
(DD.MM.YYYY), you’re not alone. Many users encounter this formatting
issue, especially during rebate payments drill-downs. Fortunately,
SAP provides a built-in option to update the date format at the user profile
level. This tutorial will walk you through the process
of changing the SAP date format to day format using the Own Data
settings.
Common SAP T-Codes to Know
Before diving in, it's helpful to understand two key SAP
transaction codes:
-
T-code SU01 – Used for User Maintenance Role.
-
T-code SU53 – Used for User Authorization Checks.
While these T-codes aren’t directly used to change the
date format, they’re useful for managing and troubleshooting user access.
