OCBC first 50 and 100 moving average cross over was on May 2016, after that it went sideways till Nov 2016. From Dec 2016 onwards, it was all the way up. The uptrend ended on May 2018, when it cross each other again. It is a signal to take note of and for you to exit the stock. In total, OCBC had been in an uptrend for almost 2 years. The previous downtread was from Apr 2015 to Feb 2016, which was about 10 months. For now, we have to wait for the 50 and 100 moving average to turn up and cross each other before another uptrend can begin. As a chart trader, you will never enter a trade at the lowest price but at the safest point when the signal say so.

Short-Term Bullish
The price is relatively far from its 20-bar average price. The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) measures the deviation of the price from its average value (comparing to a chosen moving average, typically 20 bars). The oscillator is normalized by dividing by the typical deviation, so we get an oscillator fluctuating roughly between +100 and -100. Many traders use these as overbought(+100)/oversold(-100) markers and watch for signs of reversal, but original use was to consider long positions when CCI is above +100 (bullish event), and short when below -100 (bearish event). When the price crosses back in between +100 and -100, another event is triggered to indicate an end to the prior bullish or bearish situation and a possible opportunity to close out such a position. Trend is your friend and you should look for stocks that are trending up to ride the trend.
