January 04 3,059.23 +46.35 900.18 M 3.106 3.09 Mr Anthony Raza, head of multi-asset strategy at UOB Asset Management says there is a less than 10% chance of recession in 2019 but that probability increases to around 50 percent in 2020. This is due to 2 reasons. 1) we expect US stimulus to reduce significantly by 2020, which will trigger a slowdown in global markets. 2) the US labor market is already past full employment and as such, could face inflationary pressures.
